Original - Earthenware - Very good condition

Set of 3 decorative historic earthenware plates intended for wall hanging, no. 2, 3 and 7 in the series dedicated to French Algeria, entitled ‘Algerian subjects’ and produced around 1850 by the Creil & Montereau earthenware factory (France).

Each plate is decorated in the middle with a scene of Algerian types, featuring the following captions:

For plate no. 2: ‘Moorish Merchant’

For plate no. 3: ‘The Spahis in the countryside’

For plate no. 7: ‘The Zouaves at the Bivouac’

Each of these plates measures 20 cm in diameter. They are in very good condition.
