Keynes, John Maynard - The General Theory of Employment Interest and Money - 1936

Description
Keynes, John Maynard - The General Theory of Employment Interest and Money - 1936
Economics, Mathematics, Science (general) - Quantity: 1 - Book

We are delighted to present the first edition of the book that brought in a new era of economic thinking and policy.
Following high unemployment during the Great depression, Keynes re-examined his opinions of classical economics, and theorised that employment level is influenced by aggregate demand, rather than by the price of labour (as had been classically understood). This is the central argument of The General Theory.
Although many early reviews were critical of Keynes’ aims, today many of his innovations are still key to modern macroeconomics.

Some key concepts introduced are the consumption function and the principle of effective demand.

John Maynard Keynes (1883-1946), an English economist; one of the most influential economists of the 20th century, Keynes was crucial for the redefinition of macroeconomics.

This book is a fascinating artefact in the history of economics, whose importance cannot be understated.
