Mark Rothko (1903 - 1970), born in Latvia under the Russian Empire, went to the United States, where he developed his painting, coinciding with the great moment of abstract expressionism, in the framework of The Irascibles, one of the labels given to a group of American abstract expressionist artists, including Ad Reinhardt, Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning or himself, among others, who caused controversy by stating in an open letter to the MoMA, that the official nature rejected modern art. He lived modestly; it was when he died that the value, appreciation of his works grew exponentially.

Note about the seller: I am a mini - private art collector, of original graphic work, amateur, and I have few walls at home, and I like spaces with nothing on the walls. When I find a piece I like, I'm interested, I might buy it. And I exchange one piece for another in my home collection. But some pieces are occasionally in the folder, accredited posters, some lithographs and some engravings, and I sometimes sell a piece. I don't like to have pieces in the folder, except if I want to change it later, or for sentimental reasons, or I want to keep up them.
