Gabriele Basilico - Milano, 1987
Gabriele Basilico. Milano, 1997.
"I see the city as a large breathing body, a growing, transforming body and I am interested in grasping its signs, observing its shape, like a doctor who investigates the transformations of the human body. I continually search every point of view, as if the city were a labyrinth and the gaze was looking for a point of penetration". The skin of the Cathedral thus manifests itself in all its brilliant monumentality, pressed to the edge of the image, a precious backdrop whose grandeur can only exceed the limits imposed by the framing.
