Elena’s interest in art and photography started early. Thanks to her journalist father, who was passionate about cinema, Elena grew up immersed in visual beauty, images and stories. On her eighth birthday, she asked for a camera. This new way of exploring and capturing her world developed into a lifelong passion for photography, which would later become a big part of her work. After her university studies in Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Milan, Elena started working in Photography and Contemporary Art. First as a freelance photographer, later as an editor for a Swiss photography magazine. Simultaneously, she started collaborating with galleries as a curator, as well as advising private clients as an art consultant. Currently, Elena specialises in Post-War Photography and Contemporary Art, with a focus on the Italian art scene. Having participated in the art world as a creator, editor, researcher, seller and beyond, Elena now brings her uniquely multifaceted knowledge to Catawiki.
