Woodford Kentucky Derby No. 145 The annual Derby in Louisville, first run on May 17th 1875, is as Kentuckian as bourbon. Woodford Reserve has been the Kentucky Derby’s official bourbon since 1999, and releases a limited-edition commemorative bottle every year. Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 145 was released in 2019 for the 145th edition of the Derby. The label features the artwork of Louisville-based artist Keith Anderson. On the nose, Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 145 has rich aromas of dried fruits, mint, chocolate orange, soft vanilla and tobacco spice. The palate is rich, chewy, rounded and smooth, with complex notes of citrus, cinnamon, cocoa, toffee, caramel, chocolate and spices. The finish is silky smooth and warming. Willett Distillery Rowans Creek. Rowan's Creek is a small batch bourbon from Kentucky Bourbon Distillers Co. This has a very smooth, rounded character with lovely spicy, fruity flavours. Nose Hints of fruit and oak. Allspice and zest. Palate Citrus on the palate, with crème caramel, vanilla fudge and toasty oak. Good body, with an oily mouth-feel. Finish Long finish. Caramel again, with barrel char on the tail.
