The first edition of this design was published circa 1831. This print is not from the original woodblocks (that no longer exist), but a reprint from blocks carved by publisher Unsodo between 1949 and 1970.
The measurements of the image itself (excluding the margins) are 25.3 x 36.4 cm.
Hokusai was a very prolific artist, and became one of the most famous Japanese woodblock artists.
The woodblock print is in excellent condition
