Like Hajime Namiki, he likes to use silver or gold in the background. It really helps this playful set off koi's with there colors. You also see the use of paint instead of ink. It's a party for the eyes and mind. Just framed one myself, for my little baby boys room. Koi or more specifically nishikigoi are colored varieties of the Amur carp ((Cyprinus rubrofuscus) ... Carp are a large group of fish originally found in Central Europe and Asia. ...
