This was a world tour of concerts by English musician David Bowie, launched in 1987 in support of his album Never Let Me Down and named after the track "Glass Spider" from that album.
The tour was a financial success and well attended (perhaps by as many as six million fans worldwide), but the poor critical reception of the album and tour led Bowie not only to abandon plans for further elaborate shows, but to reconsider his motivations for making music.
