Stunning, fully restored temple lantern 行灯 (andon) of the marugata 丸形-type featuring a reddish-brown lacquered wooden frame enclosed by paper. It boasts a removable circular lampshade adorned with attractive lattice work and is topped with an arched handle. The shade connects to a circular base via long columns, which include a small drawer at the front for additional utility.
When illuminated, the fine washi paper emits a soft, warm glow, enhancing the ambiance. The shade is designed to be removable, originally allowing for the lighting of a candle. Now the lamps are equipped with a newly electrified CE-fitting. No lamp bulbs included. No lamp bulbs included.

The washi-paper has been completely restored, and the frame itself is in a very good condition with a great aged patina. Please look at the photos for a condition reference.
