Bundle of 20 full pages featuring Hans und Fritz/The Captain and the Kids created by Rudolph Dirks "originator of the Katzenjammer Kids", size 45x60cm. Each page was conserved in a large separate plastic bag making it easy to handle. The pages are in reasonable/good condition, wrinkles, tears, flaking and missing pieces do occur, look at the photos for details. Each page has comics printed recto/verso. On the verso side, there are various comics. How "The Katzenjammer Kids" became " Hans and Fritz" and "The Captain and the Kids ". The Katzenjammer Kids is an American comic strip created by Rudolph Dirks. It debuted on December 12, 1897, in the American Humorist, the Sunday supplement of William Randolph Hearst's New York Journal. After a series of legal battles between 1912 and 1914, Dirks left the Hearst organization and began a new strip, first titled "Hans and Fritz" and then "The Captain and the Kids". It featured the same characters seen in The Katzenjammer Kids, which was continued by Knerr.
