This was published in Prog (issue) #210 of the Science Fiction comic 2000ad on 2-5-1981 Portrait of a Mutant was an exceptionally poignant story in the Strontium Dog saga, as it explains the origins of the Bounty Hunting Strontium Dogs, and also the birth and upbringing of Johnny Alpha- Mutant turned rebel leader. In this page, Johnny Alpha appears as a teenager in the third panel during the war council, which is made up of a great gang of Mutants.
