The photographed subjects' clothing, facial expressions, room interiors, and the film titles and cities that serve as titles allow us to imagine the personalities and daily lives of the subjects. In "sight," shot in nine cities in six countries, Asakai vividly captures the simultaneous progression of "seeing" and "being seen" in the very everyday act of "the subject watching a movie, The momentary scenes taken from the time of a single film are interwoven with the viewer's daily life and the long period of time of his or her own life.
