A beautiful and serene medium-sized six-panel byôbu 屏風 (room divider) with a refined continuous painting of many different types of chrysanthemums 菊 (kiku).
Several clutches with a great variety of chrysanthemum flowers are in full bloom and they each show their unique form and colour. Varying from, yellow, orange, baby blue, white, red and soft pink. This multi-coloured painting is set on paper background. With many open spaces around the flowers, creating a very serene feeling.
The room divider is protected by a black lacquer frame.
It is signed and sealed by the artist in the lower right corner. The kanji of the signature are unknown to us. The seal reads Shūkadō 秋華堂
Period: Japan - Taishô period (1912-1926).

Total width: 267.6 cm (2 x 45.8 cm and 4 x 44 cm); Height: 121.8 cm.
Considering its age it is in a very good condition, with only some signs of restorations, age and wear. Please look at the photos for a condition reference to its condition.
This room divider is very light in weight and can also be easily mounted flat on a wall and presented as one piece of art.
