2022 Marc Brédif - Vouvray - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

6 bottles of Marc Brédif Vouvray Classic by Ladoucette. The vintage is 2022, which promises to be a very outstanding vintage in the Loire for quality, yet with a limited production. Marc Brédif is owned and managed by the Baron de Ladoucette. The key to any de Ladoucette wine is quality in the vineyard, the winery and the bottle. The wines are made in a state-of-the-art winery and are considered among the best of their kind. The grapes for the Marc Brédif Vouvray are grown on the lower slopes along the Loire Valley in Vouvray and Vernou-sur-Brenne and enjoy a northern/southern exposure. The vineyards have soils of mainly lime clay, and some plots have flint clay soils. The vineyards are on average 25-30 years old. The "classic" on this label distinguishes Marc Brédif's traditional Vouvray from the rest of the wine offering. The Chenin Blanc grapes are carefully picked by hand to prevent bruising. They are then pressed pneumatically. Only the juice that comes naturally from the grapes is used, which needs to clear for 18 to 24 hours. This is followed by a temperature-controlled fermentation for two months. Finally, the wine matures for nine months in barrels on the lees. The result is a wine that has a beautiful, shiny light yellow color in the glass. The scent is sweet, ripe and refined; slightly spicy with subtle honey hints. The taste is beautifully fruity and has a sweet attack (ripe white fruit), supported by fresh acidity; precious white wine with a delicate dry taste. The aftertaste is long and lively with exotic fruit notes. The bottles will be shipped to you in a protective packaging.
