Talk Talk - The Colour of Spring on Super Audio - Audio CD - 1997
"The Colour Of Springs" is widely recognized as the best album ever made by Talk Talk / Mark Hollis. The original album came out in 1986, however, this SACD, issued in the EU 2003, is the definitive version of this classic "youngtimer" - the sound quality is of the highest standard ever heard - check the reviews on discogs.
This SACD issue contains two different masterings: the PCM redbook (16-bit, 44.1 kHz) remaster from 1997 reissue (CD layer), and a new DSD remaster from 2003 (SACD layer).
Because of its superb sound quality, this reissued and remastered hybrid Super Audio cd has become a very rare collectors item. Historic prices paid for this SACD range from €70 to €295. Currently there are only two offers on discogs, €250 for a VG copy and > €300 for a NM copy.
The SACD comes in a super jewel case and a 12-page booklet with photos and lyrics is included.
This SACD comes from my personal collection and is in Mint condition.
