Good rosewood set up, master made bridge stamped Cognier Terrier and old Dominant strings. Description: Good quality medium grained spruce was chosen for the top, and the maple of the two pieces back with beautiful grain is strongly flamed. Matched sides, neck and scroll. The scroll is with black stripes, usual for french violin makers of early 20th century. The inlaid purfling is a tasteful work of good craftsmanship, just as the shining, golden amber varnish. The violin is ready to play. The whole length of the violin is 587 mm and the back 359 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 204 mm. Full size.
