This is a very striking original vintage World War Two propaganda poster, in mint condition professionally laid on linen. The colours are exceptionally bright and the imagery fascinating. 'They became brothers... Whoever strikes Churchill strikes Stalin!' 'Побратались... Кто бьет по Черчиллю - тот бьет по Сталину!' Caricature design depicting Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin with their arms around each other, each smoking the other's pipe and cigar and wearing the other's hat - Churchill wearing a red military hat with a star on it and Stalin wearing a top cat with a Union Jack flag on it - with red stars on Stalin's face, medals on his uniform jacket and holding a white rose flower, whilst Churchill wears a bowtie and waistcoat below the word Capitalist and holds a red rose flower against the blue background with the bold text in black above and in red lettering below. This is a very scarce Nazi poster, full of interesting detail (e.g. Stalin's Jewish physiognomy). The date is probably 1942. The Hitler-Stalin pact was broken; Germany invaded the Soviet Union in 1941; Churchill met Stalin in 1942 and the Allies joined Stalin in fighting the Germans.
