Katana - Tamahagane - Tsuda Echizennokami Sukehiro(津田越前守助広) - Japan - Early Edo period

【Summary】 ・Tsuda Echizennokami Sukehiro is one of Japan's representative swordsmiths, with one piece designated as an Important Cultural Property and eight pieces designated as Important Art Objects. ・Toranba, a unique Hamon created by Tsuda Echizennokami Sukuhiro, was so widely loved and imitated by later swordsmiths that it took the world by storm and established an unshakeable position. 【About Tsuda Echizennokami Sukehiro (津田越前守助広)】 ・Sukehiro second-generation was born in Settsu Province in the 14th year of the Kanei era, moved to Osaka and became a disciple of the first Sukehiro, and later became his adopted son and took the name Sukehiro second-generation. ・The "Toranba" Hamon created by Tsuda Echizennokami Sukehiro has had a great influence on many subsequent swordsmiths, and has become a representative Hamon of the gorgeous Midareba(乱れ刃). ・Tsuda Echizennokami Sukehiro is considered, along with Inoue Shinkai, to be the best of the Osaka shinto smiths. ・The name of the inscription changed from "Echizennokami Sukehiro" to "Tsuda Echizennokami Sukehiro" in February of the 7th year of the Kanbun Era. ・He is ranked as a Saijosaku(最上作) in Shinto, and is regarded as a Owazamono(大業物). 【Blade/condition】 ・The condition of the Blade is generally fine, but there are some small scratches. Please check the photos. ・Hamon, the most distinctive feature of this sword, is very well shown. 【Koshirae】 ・Koshirae condition is fine. Please confirm with photos. ・The five flower pattern characteristic of Saya is present and shows well. 【Attention before bid】 ・This is a truly domestic Japanese sword that has never left Japan. When exporting, an export permit must be obtained. It takes about 20 business days from the time the buyer makes payment to the time the transportation process begins. This is because exporting Japanese swords requires permission from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. ・Export of Japanese swords from Japan to other countries is restricted. Depending on the situation of the shipping company and your country of residence, it may not be possible to ship. We will of course do our best to send the item, but if no carrier is available, we have no choice but to cancel the transaction. (So far we have been able to transport them without any problems in most cases.) ・Regardless of the carrier's situation, China and Russia are banned from importing Japanese swords.
