This gifted painter had a remarkable feeling for the Dutch Masters of the beautiful Golden Age with it's wealthy merchants and adventures to discover the world. In the beginning of his career Karpati painted mainly landscapes, but later he was attracted to paint elaborated still-life, combining a real romanticism in the choice of the objects with a masterful control of the fine brush. His paintings are the product of a dedicated and diligent labour, and are nowadays highly esteemed by collectors all over the world.
