However, such controversies are emblematic of Araki's ongoing struggle with art. This book, published in 1981, holds significant importance among his early to mid-career works. The included photographs were taken between 1967 and 1972, revolving around the concept of "death" following the passing of his father, Chotaro. These images explore the fiction surrounding various events that occurred in the wake of his father's death (documentary).
