Dimension : 16cm x 10.5cm Good condition, traces of wear, see photos for details, stamp on reverse. -Che Guevara with the Indian government - 1959 Alberto Korda was Fidel Castro's photographer (1958 to 1968). The back of the photo bears the official stamp of the government of India, not that of the photographer. In the past, I sold a photo of the same lot, for the same occasion during this negotiation with the Indian government in 1959, with Korda's stamp on the back. Commander Guevara was proclaimed a Cuban citizen by the new government one month after the victory (01/59). Che and 5 other members represented Cuba in New Delhi in July 1959, in order to reach trade agreements. Guevara was in Tokyo in June to evaluate the radical agrarian reform carried out by the United States after the Second World War.
