Here we have a charming late 19th or early 20th Century oil on canvas by James Isiah Lewis 1861-1934. The painting features a couple in a rowing boat being followed by two swans most likely to be on the Thames river. Across the river is a boathouse which is likely to be the famous Leander Rowing Club, Henley on Thames. The painting is signed lower left J. Lewis. The artist is well known for painting around the sites of London depicting the River Thames and well known landmarks. A wonderful painting which would grace any wall in your home.
In good condition for its age, and comes unframed. Please view the photographs as part of the description.
