Superbe maternité  Yombe / Phemba

 Les statues représentant les maternités sont appelées Phemba chez les Yombe ainsi que dans les autres peuples Kongo comme les Bakongo ou les Vili. Les Yombe sont un peuple établi au Mayombe.

Belle couleur miel et clous en cuivre. Très belle pièce avec beaucoup de présence. L'enfant regarde vers le bas ce qui laisserait penser qu'il est mort né. 

Collection privée F.D. (franco-belge ayant résidé durant les années 80 à Kinshasa)
