Two very special Roman bronze signet rings. One with a sitting dog with his paw raised. The style/stance is very reminiscent of the Egyptian images of animals from the time of the pharaohs. Given this Egyptian influence, the ring dates back to the 1st century BC when Egypt was important to Rome. And one classically shaped ring with the abbreviation VIC... referring to the goddess Victory.
