Château Haut-Brion was one of the first four premier crus to be included in the Official Classification of Bordeaux Wines of 1855, drawn up on the occasion of the International Exposition of 1867 in Paris. It is the only wine from the Graves wine region of Bordeaux and from the Pessac-Léognan appellation.
A red with purple and garnet-coloured reflections, it exhibits a complex and deep nose and opens with pleasant hints of violet and red and black fruits, combined with notes of aromatic herbs.
The mouth is rich and intense, with fine and well-shaped tannins. The finish is long and very refined and the overall result is perfectly balanced. ‘A great wine is a wine that we remember,’ is the promise kept by Château Haut-Brion, the oldest wine estate in the region, which has created a unique and elegant product that requires no introduction.
