Mercury - Cougar - 1968

1968 Mercury Cougar Hardtop 1968 5.0 (302ci) V8, 3 Speed Automatic Transmission.  Clean title, without any accidents.  The car was imported from the US, Chicago, by the seller into the EU (Gdynia, Poland) in 2023.  All import taxes have been paid for EU (VAT, CLO, Akcyza).  All import documents including a clean title available.  The car was sent from the USA to the seller personally. This Mercury runs and drives, with the transmission changing all gears, and it breaks (weak brakes), but it should be considered as a project car, as no repairs have been done to it after arrival to Poland, because of lack of time.  The exact mechanical condition of the car is unknown.  The only confirmation is that it starts, runs, and drives. The exterior is not in bad shape, as can be seen in the pictures. The paint looks good from far, turns heads, for a better impression please check the video link. The roof has some paint peel-offs, better to be repainted. The interior is in pretty good shape for such an old car, can be seen in pictures. Unfortunately, the floor/undercarriage got rust holes. The floor is available for approx. 700 EUR from Mustang shops in the EU with shipping. Almost all repair parts available, many are the same as Ford Mustang. The Mercury seems to be complete with all parts and components. The logos/decals for the exterior are in the glove box.  Worthy of a restoration, it is currently kept in a heated underground garage. The seller can help with shipping the car through the European Union. It is recommended to view and inspect the vehicle in Gdansk, Poland, prior to placing a bid. Please contact Catawiki to arrange a viewing appointment. Private sale. Pickup is not possible between 17th Feb to 2nd March when the seller will be on vacation.
