I have decided to sell my Tröckener Kecks vinyl collection. It is an extensive collection including self-released first singles and LPs. For those in the know, almost all releases from TK1 to TK15, all of which are in top condition (EX/NM). This time the last lot with 6 TK singles from the years 1985 to 1988. TRÖCKENER KECKS Energetic Dutch-language group from Amsterdam with an impressive live reputation. At the time of debut single Rik Ringers (spring '81), Tröckener Kecks consisted of singer Edward van Tilburg, solo guitarist Arjan Boonacker, De Leeuw (then still on 'punk guitar'), Vogelaars and drummer Leo Kenter. The Kecks are still a chaotic Dutch-language punk band at the time. Unlike the other Amsterdam punk bands from the era of 'Geen Woning Geen Kroning', the Tröckener Kecks are apolitical. The band finds little connection with what was then called the Second Wave (bands like The Ex, The Workmates, Infexion and Nitwitz). When it came to releasing records, the Kecks followed the 'do it yourself' punk principle. Until 1987, records were self-released. After the light-hearted single Niet Alle Meisjes Zijn Verliefd Op Kors (1982) and many line-up changes, including the departure of Van Tilburg, De Leeuw took over lead vocals. Longtime producer Thé Lau (The Scene) assists the group to come up with more catchy arrangements for their concise, often lugubrious, pop songs on the mini-album "IN DE KROCHTEN VAN DE GEEST" (1984). After a string of strong singles, including the tearjerker "Come Back, Rosa" and the football song "To The Top", "PAID LOVE" was released in September '85. This record receives high praise and boosts the group's status considerably. The unique literary approach of lyricists De Leeuw and Kenter becomes increasingly evident. Singles "Hoop Doet Leven" and "Mooier Dan De Rest" precede the autumn '87 release of "ONE ON A MILLION", the first Kecks record not to be self-released. From then on, the group starts attracting full houses. The early '89 release of "DE JACHT" is another magnificent record, which does justice to their live reputation.
