This wonderful Beatles collectors item is known as ''The White Album'' because of its beautiful abstract and non-figurative cover artwork which was created by the artist Richard Hamilton in collaboration with Paul McCartney himself. First early U.K. pressings of the ‘White Album’ are known to have a ‘embossed’ title on the front cover, just like the record included in this lot. Later releases showed the title in grey printed (instead of the embossed) letters. Also, first pressings open from the top of the gate-fold jacket sleeve, just like the release presented in this lot. ‘The White Album’ was limited and the cover is numbered with a unique stamped serial number. The number of this release is no. 0396668 Included are 4 the glossy photographs, portraying each member of the group in colour. These portrait photos were taken by John Kelly and are spotless, just like new. Also added ist the original poster. Original black inner sleeves are also included.
