A fine selection of ten Anatolian bronze arrowheads. All of these pieces feature a trilobate bladed head and an internal socket, which would have once held a wooden shaft. Some display a short stem while some present sharp barbs. Earthly encrustations to the surfaces and chips to the blades.
Arrowheads of this type have been recovered across all the Anatolian and North Euphrates region. Anatolia, Turkish peninsula forming the western extremity of Asia is centrally located at the heart between Asia and Europe; marking it as a significant location and a scene of numerous migrations and conquests. It is one of the first regions that began boasting bronze production, much like the Luristan culture in the Near East.
