Tessa Posthuma de Boer 'The Offspring no.2' (2024) fine art baryta giclee print signed on the back, without frame limited edition 2/7, with certificate Tessa Posthuma de Boer (Amsterdam 1968) studied photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She completed her final exams in 1993 with, among other things, a series of self-portraits. In addition to this autonomous work, she specialized as a portrait photographer. She worked in assignment for several newspapers and magazines. A number of advertising campaigns and commercials are also in her name. She published a number of books, including '222 writers, literary portertten' together with her father, photographer Eddy Posthuma de Boer, in 2005. In the last few years, Tessa has mainly been busy with autonomous work that is regularly exhibited. Her work has been shown in, among others, the Beijerd in Breda, the Wereldmuseum in Rotterdam, Galeria Miesjka bwa, Bydgoszcz, Poland, the Melkweg Gallery in Amsterdam, and Het Literatuur Museum in The Hague. The SBK has a number of photos of Tessa in its collection. Nowadays, Tessa is working on an expanding series of still lifes.
