Shinzo Fukuhara (1883-1948), one of Japan's leading photographers, and his younger brother, Michiso Fukuhara (1892-1946), are the subject of "Fukuhara Shinzo Fukuhara Michiso Photography Collection: Light and Its Harmony. Fukuhara Shinzo was the son of Shiseido's founder and the first president of Shiseido after its incorporation. The "Shiseido Advertising Department" is famous for being the pioneer of commercial design in Japan, creating many wonderful catchphrases and illustrations, and producing many talented designers, but it was Fukuhara Shinzo who originated this policy. The policy was originated by Fukuhara Shinzo, who made a great contribution to the promotion of "artistic photography" with his theory of "light and its harmony" before World War II, and it can be said to be the result of his sense of taste and foresight. His younger brother, Rokuso, was involved in the management of Collage Art, and his light, haiku-inspired works were often said to be more interesting than Rokuso's. Rokuso's works were also known as the "Haiku of the World. This book from Nikon Salon Books, edited by Jun Miki and Jun Morinaga and designed by Yusaku Kamekura, is a collection of works by both men that can be enjoyed with text and illustrations.
