Up for auction is a service banner with the original hanger! It has two stars, denoting that TWO sons were in the service. Great patina, 100% original and complete with the original hanger that is often missing! The banner is approximately/ slightly smaller relative A4(!) paper size. See my hand for scale. This banner has a beautiful patina, clearly showing the age, and a minor tear on the front, see photo's.
A service flag or service banner is a banner that family members of those serving in the United States Armed Forces could display during World War 2. The flag or banner is officially defined as a white field with a red border, with a blue star for each family member serving in the Armed Forces of the United States during WW2 (see attached photo's made during WW2!).
Great and rare 100% original item for your US WW2 collection!
