Octomore - Edition 13.1 - Original bottling - 700 ml
The Octomore 13.3 Islay Whiskey from Bruichladdich was malted to a concentrated 129.3 PPM and distilled from Scottish Concerto barley. The maturation period took five years. American first fill whiskey barrels and European second fill oak barrels were used. The addition of dyes and the use of cold filtration were omitted.
Tasting notes
Nose: multifaceted bouquet
Palate: Brown sugar, vanilla and green fruits spread across the palate. In the background there are salty aromas and smoky peat.
Finish: Dry smoke determines the never-ending finale.
