Carved by the artist wit chainsaw from a solid piece of ash wood*, finished with a chisel. Tanned with fire (yakisugi**), painted with natural black stain to emphasizes character and raw wood pattern. All this resulted in a unique piece of art rich in exceptional details. The artwork will look great on a platform, pedestal or other base. ** (Yakisugi (焼杉) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. By slightly charring the surface of the wood without combusting the whole piece, the wood becomes water-proof through the carbonisation and is thus more durable.
