Cuvée Vieille Vigne - Organic Wine (Ecocert) In the 1990s, Michel Chapoutier joined forces with Pierre-François Terrat to magnify the expression of this unique terroir of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence. Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah and Grenache form the perfect trio on clay and stony soils. The two winemakers deliver us a great vintage 2001, having developed a prodigious aromatic complexity after more than twenty years of aging in bottle. Today, the nose offers aromas of crunchy black berries, graphite, red cherry, smoke, cold ash and blood orange. It is exciting complexity! The palate, always endowed with its telluric power, has patinated and is both concentrated and divinely elegant. A wine of great class, a bottle of high level, able to compete with the big names of the Rhone, Provence or Bordeaux. A gem not to be missed!
