This is an attractive Lower Paleolithic Acheulian Quartzite Handaxe from Morocco measuring 13cm in length. Made by Homo erectus from 1000,000 - 500,000 years ago, this Lower Paleolithic Acheulean handaxe is in excellent condition with no modern damage. Somewhat difficult to convey from photographs, the artifact has the lovely desert patina typical of many North African Paleoliths. The custom-made stand is included with the handaxe.
