Luristán Bronce Grupo de punta de flecha (2) (Sin Precio de Reserva)
A pair of Luristan cast bronze arrowheads, slightly varying in shape and size but all featuring a deltoid blade with a central flattened mid-rib, and a narrow tang. One of the tangs is longer and is pierced, perhaps for suspension. The pieces are covered in a beautiful blue-green patina and some earthly encrustations. There is some damage to the edges of the blades.
Luristan objects are for the majority bronze cast items decorated with bronze sculptures and there have been many discovered in the Lorestān Province. Excavated items often included weapons, tools, and finials, as well as small amulets and fittings. Everyday objects are also found including pins and bracelets. Archaeological evidence suggests that the Luristan bronze objects often serve ceremonial functions given their funerary contexts.
