Luristán Bronce Grupo Punta de Flecha (3) (Sin Precio de Reserva)
A selection of three Luristan cast bronze arrowheads, slightly varying in shape and size but all featuring a blade with a central raised mid-rib and a narrow tang. Two arrows have leaf-shaped blades, the other has a triangular blade with sharp barbs. The pieces are covered in a beautiful blue-green patina and some earthly encrustations. There is some damage to the edges of the blades.
Luristan objects are for the majority bronze cast items decorated with bronze sculptures and there have been many discovered in the Lorestān Province. Excavated items often included weapons, tools, and finials, as well as small amulets and fittings. Everyday objects are also found including pins and bracelets. Archaeological evidence suggests that the Luristan bronze objects often serve ceremonial functions given their funerary contexts.
