The Cross “For the Capture of Prague” (sometimes called the Cross “For the Capture of Warsaw”) is a Russian award established on January 1, 1795 by Empress Catherine II to encourage participants in the assault on Prague (the outskirts of Warsaw) during the Kościuszko Uprising.

The officers for the capture of the Warsaw suburb of Prague were awarded the Orders of St. George and St. Vladimir, and those who did not receive them were awarded gold crosses with the inscription: “For labor and courage.” On the reverse side of the cross there was an inscription: “Prague was taken on October 24, 1794.” Worn on the ribbon of the Order of St. George.
