BMW - R69S - 600 cc - 1966

The R69S was the fastest road going BMW motorcycle money could buy in the 1960s. This lovely example from 1966 has triple matching numbers and correct Bing carburettors numbered in sequence. Furthermore, it is painted in the rarer BMW paint scheme of Dover White. The R69S is an older restoration that has mellowed in nicely and now has the appearance of a well-kept original example. The speedo reads 97.151kms and this is the total mileage since new. When you inspect the bike in the flesh, you will appreciate how unmolested and well-kept the BMW is. One long term owner for 38 years is a testament to this. The R69S is fitted with the larger capacity petrol tank that incorporates a toolbox at the top. A Denfeld seat that appears to be the original item is fitted. Again, very well kept with no holes or tears to the seat. The motorcycle is in a lovely condition throughout, all paint and chrome in excellent condition. There are two small scratches to the paint on the left-hand side of the petrol tank. They are light surface scratches and could easily be touched up with a touch-up paint pen in the correct Dover White shade. The engine is as smooth as any other well build BMW boxer engine and starts first or second kick. Once the engine is warmed through it will hold its idle nicely. There is an instant response when the throttle is pulled. All gears engage easily. A pair of white Craven rear panniers come with the bike. They have build indicators which can be connected easily. Registered on current EU registration documents. VIDEO, starting from cold: https://youtu.be/lHm-v2chsnY The motorcycle can be shipped anywhere in the world at competitive rates. We have great experience shipping all over Europe, UK, US, Australia and Japan.
