VINIFICATION
Vintage Port wines represent the best of the products of an exceptional year. Unlike Port wines that age in wood, Vintage Port wines will continue to age and improve in bottle for decades, inscribing in their character both the characteristics of the vineyard and the influence of the winemaker.

TASTING NOTES
Syvä purppuran musta väri. Monimutkainen viettelevä nuotti tuo esiin Croftin arkkityyppisen yltäkyllisyyden, mutta se osoittaa vaikuttavaa syvyyttä, taustaa ja aromien varastoja. Rikas, voimakas hedelmäisyys muodostaa taustalla huumaavia kukkien ja kiviruusun tuoksuja. Mehukas kypsä marjaisan hedelmäinen maku vyöryy läpi suun. Viiniin liittyvä sametinpehmeä suutuntuma on kiinnitetty kireiden, lihaksikkaiden, täysin integroituva tanninien varaan, jotka tuovat kestävyydelle houkuttelevan napakamman ja elinvoimaisen lopetuksen. Vaikka 2011 onkin klassisen talon joidenkin viimeaikaisten vuosikertojen rinnalla vähemmän pizzellemmin, siinä on silti kaikki rikkaan kypsän hedelmäisyyden ja eksoottisten tuoksujen luonteen jotkut ominaisuudet, jotka ovat Croft talon tyylissä.

HISTORY
Founded in 1588, Croft is the oldest of the original Port houses.
The cornerstone of Croft’s distinctive house style is the famous Quinta da Roêda, one of the finest vineyard estates of the Douro Valley, described as the jewel of Port wine estates.
Despite its rich heritage and history spanning over four centuries, Croft has never been constrained by tradition. Today, as in the past, it maintains a pioneering spirit, continuing to create innovative new styles such as Croft Pink, the first ever rosé Port.
