Etching made by Hieronymus Cock for his series of twelve ' Landscapes with Biblical and Mythological Scenes'. The design is probably by his brother Matthijs.

A good early impression printed with good plate tone on a dense laid from the period with gothic P watermark Trimmed on the borderline with traces visible on all sides except on top where trimmed narrow inside the image borderline. Remains of hinges and some improvements at the corners.
