Introduction

This auction features a striking Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic Open Heart, a timepiece that masterfully balances classic Swiss watchmaking with a bold, contemporary aesthetic. Part of Hamilton’s celebrated Jazzmaster collection, this model is renowned for its sophisticated "Open Heart" dial, which features precision cut-outs that reveal the intricate mechanical heartbeat of the Swiss automatic movement. With its polished silver-tone accents against a deep black dial, this watch is an exceptional choice for those who appreciate both technical transparency and refined style.

Historical / Era context

Dating from the 2010s to the present, the Jazzmaster line represents Hamilton's commitment to creating elegant dress watches with a modern twist. Drawing inspiration from the brand's rich American heritage and combining it with precision Swiss movements, the Viewmatic Open Heart has become a signature model for the brand. It reflects the modern era's appreciation for mechanical artistry, allowing the wearer to observe the balance wheel and escapement in motion directly from the dial side.

Condition

The watch is running properly.
Case: The stainless steel case is in very good condition, showing only minimal signs of light surface wear consistent with careful use.
Dial: The black multi-layered dial is in excellent condition, with all indices and cut-out edges appearing sharp and clean.
Crystal: The sapphire crystal is clear and free of significant scratches, providing an unobstructed view of the open-heart display.
Band: The watch has been fitted with a brand-new aftermarket black leather strap for a fresh appearance. The original Hamilton-signed buckle has been retained and installed on the new strap. Additionally, the original worn Hamilton leather strap is included in this lot.
