Michael Graves for Alessi - Mantel Clock 03 - Rare, first version
A collector's item and masterful piece of design!
Launched in 1988, this clock was applauded for its postmodernist interpretation of classic design with four ebony columns in Tuscan style.
The clock offered here is the first version (the pendulum has a matte gold colour, in the new version is this is shiny).
This mantle clock, designed by Michael Graves, went into production in 1988, and has remained in the Alessi collection until 1999. Due to production problems, the production was stopped.
A re-edition was released in 2013.
The mantel clock has a quartz movement that runs on AA batteries. The top of the Alessi mantel clock can be removed to replace the battery.
Height: 24 cm.
Width: 16 cm.
Depth: 6 cm.
The mantel clock has a small wood chip in the edging of the black part on top (0.9 cm) and on the left corner of the base (0.8 cm), which are hardly noticeable – also see the photos. The clock is otherwise in excellent condition and fully functional.
