Etling - opalescent glass bowl, 'Roses'
Opalescent glass art dco bowl with rose motif. Inscribed signature at the bottom: 'Etling 210 France'. An issue of Editions Edmund Etling.
In absolute top condition.
In 1909 Edmond Laurent Etling established a shop on the Rue du paradis 29 Paris under the firm name 'Edmond et Cie', of which one could purchase art objects of bronze, stoneware and glass, manufactured by (freelance) visual artists from the are déco period.
Edling let the glassware be made by Verrerie Choisy-Le-Roi, which was established at the outskirts of Paris.
Many famous visual artists worked for Etling. The glass designers included among others Granger, Madame Sévin and her husband Delabasse and many more. Etling gave these talented artists achance to bring their objects d'art on the market under the name 'Etling'.
