International Harvester - R110 - 1953
Rare 1953 International Harvester R110, SD 220 ci (3.6L) "silver diamond" inline 6 cylinder engine, coupled to a 3-speed manual gearbox.
Current owner from 2017.
The motor appears to be original but no document to match with frame number, so no confirmation on matching numbers could be made.
Latest maintenance done in 2021-2022:
Exterior:
- the original painting and patina was cleaned and protected with 2 layers of epoxy coating.
- new wood bed.
- new rear lights.
Interior:
- new seat bench made from an original bench seat with new upholstery.
Mechanical:
- rear springs, and the 4 shock absorbers were replaced.
- conversion to a 12V voltage.
- new brake drums and pads on all 4 wheels.
- new king pin.
- full service on engine , oil and gasket replaced in transmission
Traces of surface rust apparent on the chassis.
With the danish road safety inspection in december 2022 passed, the truck is in good drivable condition.
Note: the 2 whiskey barrels transported on some of the pictures are not included.
