Exquisite Wallendorf figurine originally named “Böckchen-Reiter”/“Little Goat Rider” as titled in “Modell Buch Wallendorf “ #1475, created by the famous artist Kurt Steiner in 1953, in perfect condition.
It depicts a darling nude putto boy with white blond hair, riding a goat, in a dangerous act. The goat is throwing him down while a surprised/scared expression can be seen on boy’s face, marvelous scene designed by Kurt Steiner (1904 - 1970), the famous German modeler and designer since the early 1930s, who influenced Thuringian ornamental porcelain for decades.
Wallendorf Porcelain factory has been in operation since 1764, being one of the oldest porcelain trademarks in Germany.
Marked on the base with crowned W 1764 in green and impressed numbered #1475 First Quality, beautifully sculpted, glazed and gilded, it is in pristine condition, Like New Never Used, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
