Beautiful Thonet office armchair, circa 1920, designed by Marcel Kammerer (Austrian architect).
Armchair with typical elements of the Viennese secession period, the armchair bears the 62 mm Thonet round stamp under the seat and the Thonet label, the upholstery is in the Art Deco style, the armchair has the original patina of its time and under the legs bears Latin numerals (perhaps produced by the company).
In this period there was an artistic and creative fervor on the part of Austrian architects such as Otto Wagner, Marcel Kammerer, Otto Prutscher and Josef Hoffmann, or by painters of the Viennese secession such as Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt and Oskar Kokoschka.
