Magnificent vintage Aelteste Volkstedter figurines depicting children merchants, in excellent condition.
All are hand painted, on a rococo style base, beautiful details and great glaze finished.
The "Aelteste Volkstedt" was founded in 1762, being the oldest working porcelain manufactory in Thuringia. Its founding dates back to Georg Heinrich Macheleid who deciphered the composition for the right porcelain paste, the "Arkanum", in 1760.
Artistic pieces from the Aeltesten Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur are highly regarded among connoisseurs and collectors.
All the figurines are in excellent condition, marked with Aelteste Volkstedter of the period, impressed numbered, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
